Taylor V-Cable V250 Reviews 5

Taylor recently came out with it's first ever guitar cable for 2011. The cable is actually made by RapcoHorizaon which it seems Rapco and Horizon cable companies merged into one. Well, either way, they made a cable for Taylor and what sets it apart from being just a nice cable is that it has a volume knob that also can act as a mute switch on the end.

I read about this cable in a trade magazine and contacted Taylor to review it for my guitar blog. It comes in a few different lengths 6' 10' 18' and 25' are the ones I recall. Also there is a 500k version, but I stuck with the 250k version since I mostly play passive instruments with single coil pickups. I believe the 18' 250k model is somewhere around $35 from Sweetwater. Do not over pay elsewhere.

There is no guessing with this cable. The volume knob clicks into place when it is in the mute position. The reason I do not like those other cables with the mute button is you have no idea which is off and which is on. With the Taylor it is clear.

None at all.

This is a well built, wait for it... American made cable. The cable used is a pretty solid 16 gauge cable.

Enjoy the freedom of a cable with a volume knob. No loud annoying pops anymore.
